Before you start

The success of using crystals depends upon your own will and intent. You must be focused. If you are doubtful, insecure, timid, or otherwise harbor negative thoughts, you will have greater difficulty achieving your desires. Fortunately, some crystals can help counteract those negative influences.

Charging your crystals: For the majority of crystals, wash them before first use with a solution of water and sea salt. (1 tablespoon sea salt to 1 cup of cold water). Place the crystals in a glass or ceramic cup and pour the water on the stones. Allow the stones to sit overnight. It is also good to energize them by placing them in sunlight (for a day) or full-moon light (for a night) before use.
